Chanel Autumn 2008 Gold Make-Up: Facettes D’Or

Gold and metallics has been a huge trend, as seen on the fall runways of Nina Ricci, Badgley Mischka and Chanel. Now, the latter is bringing the gold influence from the runway to its make-up for its Autumn collection, Facettes D’Or. Gold has been increasingly popular in spa beauty too as we all know the ultra-luxurious gold facials right?Facettes D’Or features a range of pure gold shades mixed with traditional winter neutrals. The collection includes the Gold Fiction nail polish ($30), Gold Light Glossimer lip gloss ($26), a quad eye shadow palette with gold, coffee, ivory and dark green eye colors ($56) and my favorite, the limited addition Gold fever Highlighter which can be used all over your face ($56). You can apply a little on your cheeks like in the picture below, especially if you have a little tan, or you can apply it on your eyes for a little shimmery golden look.


For a more dramatic visage, you can even smack some golden tones on your lips for a night out! What is the most fabulous about the Facettes D’Or is that gold looks great on all skin types, from fair to darker.
